The HXGN15-12 series fixed metal-enclosed switchgear (referred to as "Ring Main Unit" for short) is suitable for AC 50Hz, 10kV power grids. It is used for breaking load current and short-circuit current, as well as closing short-circuit current.

This ring main unit is equipped with a spring operating mechanism, enabling both electric and manual operation of the load switch. The earthing switch and disconnector are equipped with manual operating mechanisms.
It is widely applied in power distribution systems requiring high power supply reliability, such as urban commercial centers, industrial concentration areas, airports, electrified railways, and expressways. It can be used independently indoors or outdoors, and can also be integrated into prefabricated substations.

It is mainly equipped with the ZFN-10 type vacuum load switch, and the main configurations include incoming line cabinets and outgoing line cabinets.

1、Incoming Line Cabinet Configuration: The main circuit inside the cabinet consists of one ZFN-10 type vacuum load switch, which is equipped with an isolating switch and optionally an earthing switch (depending on requirements). These three components are mounted on a single frame and interlocked with each other. Thus, it can realize operations for three working positions: busbar connection, isolation, and earthing. Components such as current transformers (CT) and potential transformers (PT) can also be flexibly installed inside the cabinet.
2、Outgoing Line Cabinet Configuration: The main circuit inside the cabinet consists of one ZFN-10 type vacuum load switch, a fuse with an impactor (serving as an isolating switch), and an earthing switch. It can also realize three-position operations. Components such as current transformers (CT), potential transformers (PT), and ZNO arresters can be flexibly installed inside the cabinet. Therefore, the metering cabinet can sometimes be omitted.
