Definition of Soft Starter Cabinet
The soft starter cabinet is mainly used for starting various types of high-power motors. It replaces traditional starting methods with a soft starter to achieve smooth starting, reduce the starting current, and minimize the mechanical impact on the motor and the impact on the power grid caused by the large current during motor startup. This improves power quality and saves energy. Additionally, it uses locked-rotor protection and rapid protection to prevent the motor from overheating and burning out due to mechanical failures or locked-rotor jams, reduces voltage drops caused by large currents (which would affect other electrical appliances), decreases wear and tear, extends the motor’s service life, and saves mechanical maintenance costs.
